These are 1^st turned to the rough shape of the bowl, before being sealed, placed in their own shavings in a paper bag, and left to dry for 9-12 months until the moisture content of the bowls reaches 8%.

At this stage the bowl will have changed shape slightly due to the drying process, and so goes back on the lathe to be finish-turned and finished to its perfect final shape.

We use food-safe finished on all our bowls and boards. So while you might look at the finished bowl in all its beauty, there is a long and beautiful journey behind every single bowl.
